Charcuterie Board Essentials
The best snack for every foodie is a charcuterie board.
A charcuterie board is truly my favorite thing to snack on and can be made for many different occasions. This snack is perfect to prepare for a dinner party or fun night in with friends. Aside from making a charcuterie board look pretty, there are many essential foods for a classic characterize board that you must include.
The Cheeses: You need a variety of cheeses to have a good board. Some of my favorite kinds include: Moses Sleeper and Saint-André Brie, Manchego, Aged Gouda, Moliterno, and Cheese Curds
The Jams: Jam is the perfect complement to cheese. I would recommend the Briemere Farms Seedless Raspberry Jam, Anarchy in A Jar Strawberry Balsamic Jam, and the Sarabeth’s Peach Apricot Preserves.
Crackers: To put your cheese and jam on, you need a good cracker. I love the Carr’s Entertainment Collection, John Wm Macy’s Cheese Sticks Melting Parmesan, and any of the Rustic Bakery Gourmet Crackers.
Sliced up baguette is a great addition.
The Meats: Salami roses are an aesthetically pleasing and delicious choice for the board. Prosciutto and Sopressata are also great.
Nuts: Cashews, Marcona Almonds, and Pecans are great nuts to pair with cheese or jam.
Honey: Some of my favorite honey brands are Nature Nate’s Raw and Unfiltered Honey, Raw Avocado Honey, Raw and Unfiltered Texas Honey and more.
Fruits: Green and purple grapes, apples, olives, strawberries, dates, raspberries, cranberries, apricots, figs, and gherkin pickles!
Extra additions: Dips are always a good idea. Some that pair really well with a charcuterie board are blue cheese dip, spinach and artichoke dip, and hummus. Vegetables like carrots, celery, cucumbers, and tomatoes would also go great with this.
